Irish Koreans

I spent St. Patty's day weekend in Seoul and was welcomed with the sight of a massive crowd of foreigners all decked out in their green and best irish attire. I can almost bet the festival was larger than that of New Orleans' St. Patrick's Day parade. It was a completely surreal moment when after returning from the drink run to hear "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" being belted out by an all Korean band. After a few more U2 hits and some traditional irish jigging the event almost seemed normal, while at the same time completely out of the ordinary.

The immediate crowd in front of stage, twice as many behind me

Line in family mart for drinks, had to walk 20 minutes to find a mart with beer
