Fluorescent Success

Last weekend Ryan and I went out for our first big night on the town. Failing to run in to any other foreigners we were left to our devices. After bar hopping for about 3 hours we decided we'd start to make the trek home, but agreed we'd stop by a place we'd seen in days before named "ba na na." A clip art styled neon sign of a banana and hot pink lettering made us think it was definitely worth a stop.

After rounds of free drinks, dried seaweed (my absolute new favorite snack) and other bar snacks from the owner a semi-drunk asian man at the bar whom we'd been chatting with us suggested we stop by a nearby dance club.

So Ryan and our two new friends ventured down into a basement, ballroom sized, 'waiting for tonight' (j lo), reception hall situation. The floor was packed and we nabbed a booth where our friends ordered drinks and a massive fruit tray.

We danced the night away, although American dancing is quite different from the boy/boy, girl/girl dancing most Koreans exhibit.

We capped the night off with some street ramen, ultra delicious. As we left to start walking home with the sun coming up our bartender friend whips around the corner in her hot pink bean of a car and beeps her horn.
Arabian Nights
The only thing missing was some karaoke, but there's always next time.
